Every Moneris batch, matched.
Each terminal’s batch close, split by card brand, matched to the deposits that reached your bank.
What comes in from Moneris
- Transactions
Each purchase and refund at the terminal, with its card brand, store, terminal and batch number.
- Batch closes
The totals each terminal settled when its batch closed, by card brand.
- Deposits and fees
What Moneris sent to the bank, and the processing fees, however your plan collects them.
Why it won’t match on its own
One batch, several deposits
Visa, Mastercard and Interac debit from the same batch can reach the bank as separate deposits.
Fees arrive their own way
Depending on the plan, fees come off each deposit or leave as one debit at the start of the month.
Batches close on their own clock
A batch closed after the cut-off settles a day later, so a Friday night sale can land on Tuesday.
One rule, in plain words
Match Moneris batches to RBC deposits when each card brand’s total equals a deposit within two business days.
brand total = deposit, within 2 business days364 matched
A later rule matches the monthly fee debit to the fees on that month’s transactions. Any difference between the two stays on the match, in view.
What Numerics works out
Numerics reads the matched batches and the fees charged against them, so each brand’s real rate comes from what you paid.
You go run your business.
Bring a month of Moneris records to the call. You’ll see them matched before it ends.
